With over 40 restaurants from Kampala to Jinja participating in the 5th edition of the Kampala Restaurant Week, it’s the perfect time for restaurants to showcase their rich menus. Equally so for the food lovers to have appease their palates. This edition dubbed the “Three Course Edition” will have restaurants showcasing difference dishes.
Casual Dining Restaurants will offer Starters at UGX 15K, Mains at UGX 25K and Desserts at UGX 15K. Signature Dining Restaurants will offer Starters at UGX 20K, Mains at UGX 35K and Desserts at UGX 20K. All Mains in all Restaurants will be served with a complimentary Tusker Lite Beer.
The 2019 Restaurant Week was ushered in with a Media launch on Wednesday, 30th August, at La Cabana Restaurant Speke Apartments, Wampewo Avenu. where The Pearl Guide hosted food critics, the press and food bloggers to a simple but exquisite First Bites Treat.
At around 3pm, the taps started flowing thanks to Tusker Lite Team, the alcohol always lifts the spirit up, and it was all happy faces as the bites came in, served by smart and courteous La Cabana staff. And oh they were finger licking and in full supply.
A chance was given to the crowd to showcase their cooking skills, and win goodies, the cook off organised by Total Uganda, with the La Cabana Chefs as judges had the place in a frenzy as the contestants proved their cooking prowess with the crowd cheering on and in awe. Day 0 was a great success, and it only gets better and tastier.
